This Privacy Policy describes how Breakout Advisory ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles information when you visit breakoutadvisory.com (the "Site") or contact us about our advisory services. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
By using this Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information We Collect
We collect two types of information: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you use the Site.
Information you provide directly
- Contact inquiries — If you email us at scott@breakoutadvisory.com, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Discovery call bookings — If you schedule a discovery call through our Calendly booking widget, Calendly collects your name, email address, and any other information you provide during the scheduling process. Calendly's own privacy policy governs that data. We receive the booking confirmation and any details you enter.
- Diagnostic tools — The Dependency Map and Bottleneck Score quizzes on this Site are interactive tools. Your responses to the assessment questions themselves are processed in your browser and not stored on our servers. After completing an assessment, you may optionally submit an email-capture form to request a written analysis from Scott — see Section 4 for how that form is processed.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and tracking technologies — We use third-party analytics tools (described in Section 4) that place cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device to help us understand how visitors use the Site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Responding to inquiries — To reply to emails and messages you send us.
- Scheduling and conducting discovery calls — To confirm and manage appointments.
- Sending Bottleneck Score and Dependency Map reports — If you submit the email-capture form after completing an assessment, Scott uses your email and any other information you provide to send the requested written report and any direct follow-up from him.
- Improving the Site — To understand how visitors use the Site, which pages perform well, and where we can improve the user experience.
- Analytics and advertising improvement — To analyze patterns in Site usage using the third-party tools described in Section 4.
- Legal compliance — To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-Party Analytics and Tracking Tools
We use the following third-party services to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Each service has its own privacy policy governing its data collection and use.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the Site, including pages visited, time spent on the Site, and general geographic location. This information is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the Site and to compile reports on website activity for us. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also manage your preferences through Google's Ads Settings.
Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We improve our products and advertising by using Microsoft Clarity to see how you use our website. By using our site, you agree that we and Microsoft can collect and use this data. Our privacy statement here has more details.
Microsoft Clarity is a behavioral analytics tool that records anonymized session data including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling patterns. Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information directly. The data is used to understand how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve the user experience.
Microsoft's privacy policy is available at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. You can learn more about Microsoft Clarity at clarity.microsoft.com.
We use Calendly for discovery call scheduling. When you book a call through the widget on this Site, you are interacting directly with Calendly's platform. Calendly collects the information you provide (name, email, any optional notes) and processes it under their own privacy policy, available at calendly.com/privacy.
We receive your booking information from Calendly solely for the purpose of conducting your discovery call.
When you complete the Bottleneck Score or Dependency Map assessment on this Site and submit the optional email-capture form that follows, your submission is processed by Netlify Forms, the form-handling service provided by Netlify, Inc. The form captures your email address (required) and any optional fields you choose to fill in: your name, role, company and stage, and a short open-text answer.
Form submissions are sent to Scott Nagel directly. Scott uses this information only to send the requested written report and any direct follow-up from him. There is no marketing list, no automated drip sequence, and no third-party sharing.
Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
